Hey Parents!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family! I enjoyed hearing stories from the students’ breaks throughout the day.
We will have homework this week and next week, but for the final week and three days before our Winter Break, we will not have homework. Take this time to enjoy the holiday season with your children. Of course reading for 20 minutes each night is still recommended.
First grade will be participating in rotations this week where the classes will rotate to each classroom to learn about Lewis and Clark as well as Sacagawea. The students love the rotations each year so be on the lookout for their activities in their take home folders tomorrow and Wednesday. I am sure you will learn a lot too!
Some students are missing library books that were due over a month ago. Please look around and locate those books. There should be a small slip of paper in the front of the book to let you know when the book is due. Thanks!

Math: Fact Families and other addition/subtraction strategies and word problems.
Phonics: We will continue to work on nouns as well as syllables.
Social Studies: Lewis, Clark, and Sacagawea Rotations
Science: Nutrition
Writing: Informational Writing
Reading: Daily 5 Rotations, Main Idea/Key Details, and Nonfiction Text Features.
