Hi Parents!
I hope you all had a wonderful break! I had a “staycation” which was very relaxing! I can’t wait to hear about everyone’s break tomorrow. This week to honor Dr. Seuss’ birthday, we will have a Seuss themed week.
Thursday, March 2nd is Math Night at Publix! The event begins at 5:00 pm at the Publix in Shallowford Road.
See schedule below:
Mon: Cat in the Hat Day. Students can wear a hat.
Tues: Fox in Sox Day. Students can wear crazy socks.
Wed: Wacky Wednesday. Students can dress as wacky as they want to.
Thurs: Favorite Book. Students can pay $1 to wear PJs for Rally Foundation and favorite Dr. Seuss book
Fri: Thing One and Thing Two “Twinning” Day. Students can wear their Kind shirts to “twin” with the school.
Here is what we have going on this week:
Tuesday: Guidance and ILC lesson/check out
Wednesday: KSU Football player will read a Dr. Seuss book to first grade in ILC
Thursday: Target/ PJ day – students need to donate a $1 for Rally Foundation to wear PJs.
Here is what we are learning this week:
Math: Adding to 100 by multiples of 10 and Dr. Seuss themed word problems
Phonics: Verb Tense
Health: Muscles
STEM: Shadow Puppets
Writing: Opinion Writing
Reading: Daily 5 Reading Groups/Comparing stories
