Hi Parents!
Just a reminder, we do not have homework this month due to earning a 7th goal for the Tritt-Mazing Race. I have reminded the class that they should still be reading each night and working on their addition/subtraction facts.
ChickfilA Biscuit Day is on December 13th. Please remind your child to pick up their biscuit that morning :)
Here is what we have going on this week:
Tuesday: STEAM Day
Friday: ILC Lesson and Check Out and Guidance
Here is what we are learning this week:
Math: Meaning of Equal Sign. When given an equation, students will solve both sides to determine if the equation is true or false.
Social Studies:Thomas Jefferson
Writing: Unit on Non-Fiction Writing/Teaching Books. This week we will begin writing How To books. Our focus this week will be How to Make Hot Cocoa
Reading: Daily 5 Rotations and Holiday Read Alouds
Phonics: Blends. This week we will focus on th- and wh- blends.
STEAM: We will continue to work on our December STEAM Challenge which is for students to create their own version of the story, The Gingerbread Man.
Thanks,
Mrs. Paine
