Hi Parents!
On Thursday, I will be at a training so we will have a substitute. Please be sure to send in note for dismissal plans on Thursday morning, if they are different than your child’s original dismissal plan. On that note, thank you so much for sending in weekly notes! It has made our daily dismissal and start of spring FAST classes so smooth!
Here is what we have going on this week:
Monday: MLK Day – No School
Wednesday: Target Day
Thursday: Substitute
Friday: ILC Check Out/Lesson and Guidance
Here is what we are learning this week:
Math: Begin unit on comparing numbers (greater than, less than, and equal)
Social Studies: Begin unit on Continents, Oceans, and Landforms
Writing: Opinion Writing. This week we will write an opinion writing on our favorite pet.
Reading: Daily 5 Rotations and determining the Central Message in a fiction story.
Phonics: Vowel Teams. This week we will continue with Magic E which goes at the end of words and makes the vowel long (say its name).
Thanks,
Mrs. Paine
