Hi Parents!
Report cards will come home THIS Thursday. Please remove the report card from inside the envelope and return the white envelope signed and unsealed. Please email me with any questions or concerns regarding your child’s grades. The expectations for the standards in Quarter 3 and 4 really jump from the previous two quarters. If your child has 2’s, that means they are making progress.
Here is what we have going on this week:
Thursday: Target and Quarter 3 Report Cards go home
Here is what we are learning this week:
Math: We will begin our measurement unit. We will use non-standard units (cubes, paper clips, etc.) of measurement.
Phonics: Vowel Teams focus in –ai and -ay
Science: We will begin our unit on Plants and plant parts.
Writing: We will work on a PSA that will be sent home as well as spring themed writing.
Reading: Daily 5 Reading Groups/Scholastic Magazine on Plants
**Reminder about Homework Choice Board: Students are required to complete at least 6 items for the month of March. Please be sure to place all 6 items in their red homework folder and turn it in on the last school day of the month. Students can do all 12 items but are only required to complete 6 and turn them in.
Thanks!
Ms. Coyne
