Hey Parents!
Valentines and boxes can be sent in on Thursday or Friday of this week. Please remember to have your child put their name on the TOP of box and make the opening large enough to fit Valentines inside.
SAVE THE DATE!! First grade is heading to the Zoo on Wednesday, April 1st. Any one is welcome to chaperone we just as that you meet us at the zoo at the assigned time and no siblings, please.
Here is what have going on this week:
Tuesday: Mrs. Paine and Mrs. Davis in Training - We will have two subs.
Thursday: Target Day
Friday: LLC Check Out and Valentine Centers
Here is what we are learning this week:
Reading: This week, we will begin working on identifying the point of view of a book read aloud (first person, second person, third person).
Writing: We will continue working on our opinion writing piece: Our School is the Best because...
Math: We will continue our unit on identifying the number that is ten more and ten less than a number to 120. Ex: 35 is ten less than 45, 55 is ten more than 45.
Social Studies: We will continue to work on Continents and Oceans. This week we will work on locating the continents and oceans on a map.
STEAM: We will plant new carrot seeds in an indoor container that has a lid. This will hopefully create a greenhouse effect and our carrots will successfully grow!
