Hi Parents!
This week first grade will be participating in Harriet Tubman rotations! We did this for Lewis, Clark, and Sacagawea back in the fall. These rotations are a fun way for the students to learn about our historical figures.
Tomorrow (Tuesday), March 7th is Picture day. We will be taking our class photo as well as individuals IF you ordered them.
Here is what we have going on this week:
Tuesday: Picture Day and Harriet Rotations 1-3
Thursday: Target
Friday: Harriet Rotations 4-6
Here is what we are learning this week:
Math: Review Addition and Subtraction Strategies to 20 and continue working on adding to 100 by multiples of 10
Phonics: Verb Tense
Social Studies: Harriet Tubman
STEM: Shadow Puppets
Writing: Opinion Writing
Reading: Daily 5 Reading Groups/Point of View
**Reminder about Homework Choice Board: Students are required to complete at least 6 items for the month of March. Please be sure to place all 6 items in their red homework folder and turn it in on the last school day of the month. Students can do all 12 items but are only required to complete 6 and turn them in.
Thanks!
Ms. Coyne
