Hey Parents!
This week, we will have an early release day on Thursday. Please plan accordingly. Also, next week is conference week, so Monday – Friday of next week are also early release days.
Tomorrow is our first Tritt-Mazing Race Count Day! Please remind your child to turn their folder in to me first thing in the morning.
October Homework Calendars will come home this week.
Here is what have going on this week:
Thursday: Early Release/Target Day
Friday: LLC Book Check Out
Here is what we are learning this week:
Reading: We will wrap up our unit on comparing and contrasting fiction and non-fiction books.
Writing: Narrative Writing Unit. We will write an Ouch Story. The first graders LOVE to write about a past injury.
Math: We will work on solving addition and subtraction word problems as well as measuring objects by ordering three objects by length (shortest to longest, longest to shortest).
Science: We will continue to explore weather, types of precipitation, and graph weather patterns.
STEAM: We will create a list of supplies we need to purchase to begin planting in our garden. We will also research which plants are best to plant in the fall.
